How do I change the batteries?
Unscrew the back and replace the rubber seal carefully.

MR300: I am having difficulty understanding the instructions.
Please see revised instructions below:
1. Case 1 1 inch : 5 miles
In this case, Input 5, press [=] then press [measure] then move the wheel to measure the distance.
2. Case 2 1 inch : 50,000 inch. In this case, Divide 50,000 by 63360 to find out 1 inch = 0.789 mile, the user can input 0.789, press [=] then press [measure] then move the wheel to measure the distance.
3. Case 3 1.25 inch : 1 mile
In this case, Divide 1 by 1.25 to find out 1 inch = 0.8 mile, the user can input 0.8, press [=] then press [measure] then move the wheel to measure the distance.
The user only needs to find out 1 inch = XXX mile then he can input the XXX and use this map measurer.
1. Press [SCALE] key to enter scale radio input mode. Icons and inch are on.
2. If the scale radio of a map is 1:50 (1 inch : 50 miles), input 50, press [=] to confirm the data.
3. Press [MEASURE] key to enter measure model. The icons for measure and MILE are on.
4. Start measuring by tracing the wheel on the map

Ensure the strap is making good contact with skin. To help the connection, moisten the pads on the chest strap.
