| Oregon Makes A Visible Difference |
| Smart-Living innovators Oregon Scientific adds the award winning MP210, the world’s first MP3 player with transparent display, to its cutting-edge MP3 player range. The ultra sleek (6.6mm thick), metal bodied, credit-card style MP3 player supports MP3, WMA and WAV files. Proving itself as a true all-rounder the MP210 also features a built-in FM radio and voice recorder. The chic unit is available in two different storage sizes 128MB and 256MB. The 128MB retails at £99.99 (inc. VAT) and comes in three distinctive stylish finishes – titanium, blue and black. The 256MB (inc. VAT) retails at £129.99 and comes in either titanium or black.
The MP210 is the ideal product for style enthusiasts and music fans and with its cool hard wearing metal body it feels great too. Measuring only 91mm x 53mm x 6.6m (L x W X D) and weighing 40g, it stands out as something completely different – as well as sounding fantastic and making an eye-catching style statement.
What makes the MP210 stand apart from other MP3 players is its transparent LCD display position in the centre of the unit. Track information and battery life are clearly shown on the LCD display thanks to its HiGlo™ slide light. ID3 tagging ensures that title, artist and album information will scroll across the display. The MP210’s navigation tools have been discreetly embedded into the side of the unit, enhancing its sleek flat finish.
As well as looking great, the slim MP210 also represents a stunning little package of advanced features. It houses a 128Mb internal memory and is able to store up to four hours of WMA files or two hours of MP3 files. For extra storage, the 256Mb unit features 8 hours of WMA and 4 hours of MP3 files with 16 hours of voice recording time. It’s also easy to use - loading music files couldn’t be simpler with its drag and drop transfer system.
The unit connects to the computer via a USB cable, and the computer recognises the player as a removable drive allowing files to be selected and easily transferred onto the player. The MP210 is also charged directly through the USB cable to its internal battery, thus allowing Oregon to make it in such a thin design. It also comes with a wall charger for added convenience.
Despite its slimness, the MP210 has an impressive 10 hours of continual playback between charges making it the perfect companion for long journeys.
Designed with the user’s needs firmly in mind, the MP210 offers five preset equaliser modes allowing music to be adjusted to suit your own personal preference, such as Pop, Classic, Rock, Jazz and normal. Plus, there is also a choice of selectable playback options including Repeat and Random track selection. If you’re tired of your downloaded tracks there’s also a built-in FM radio capable of storing up to 30 preset channels.
For added versatility the MP210 comes complete with its very own voice recorder, making it an ideal `essential tool’ for executives. The MP210 can record up to eight hours of voice files that can then be downloaded via the USB, in the same manner as the music files. It couldn’t be simpler.
The MP210’s headphones are attached to a neckcord that can be worn discreetly while the player is slipped into a shirt pocket or bag. For added convenience the clever lightweight neckcord features small magnetic patches which hold the headphones in place while not in use, preventing them from becoming tangled.
Guaranteeing that the MP210 is here it stay it comes complete with upgradeable firmware capabilities. |
