| Introducing iBall™ from Oregon Scientific |
| Oregon Scientific, the consumer electronics’ lifestyle brand, is delighted to announce the launch of the iBall™, a made for iPod wireless speaker. The iBall is the newest addition to its StyleFi™ digital audio line. Available from October for £199.99.
Designed for the Apple iPod® users love of music, the iBall is a unique, wireless speaker incorporating a three-speaker system arrangement, which delivers high quality sound performance. Its sleek sphere styling combined with unique world’s first innovations is a compelling one-of-a-kind proposition for Apple enthusiasts. The iBall’s transmitter dock acts as a home base for the iPod, and provides solid wireless communication with the iBall. The dock also acts as a charger and will sync if connected to a pc or laptop. An additional input source in the transmitter dock makes the iBall virtually compatible with any audio source.
The Technology
The iBall’s sophisticated high bit rate, adaptive Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) wireless technology maximizes the 2.4 GHz wireless frequency band to deliver the best possible sound fidelity while managing environmental wireless interference by rapidly hopping the audio signals to the next, clearest channel. The iBall’s wireless technology is fully compatible in environments with existing wireless devices such as cordless phones, WiFi, or Bluetooth. The result is a highly-robust wireless speaker system that plays iPod music without skipping a beat.
Need to pump up the volume or skip a track while out on the porch? With built-in remote control functionality, volume, track play, treble and bass can be controlled up to 100 feet away from the iPod with the iBall’s built-in control pad. This unique remote control feature utilizes bi-directional radio frequency (RF) transmission between the wireless iBall speaker and the transmitter base therefore not restricted to line of sight as with typical remote controls.

iBall’s design is unique and individual. Spherical shaped with an 8-inch diameter, the iBall is designed to be a portable wireless speaker for the Apple iPod generation.
